Adeyinka is an accomplished engineer with 28 years post-graduation experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Adeyinka spent 25 of his 28 years’ experience working with ExxonMobil in Nigeria and the United States of America. During this period, he worked across the maintenance division, facilities engineering group, offshore construction & installation group, Deepwater projects planning & execution and overall project management.
Adeyinka led conceptual engineering efforts on various green & brown field opportunities in the course of his career. These include production optimization options, debottlenecking & field development studies and asset engineering & management. Adeyinka was a field maintenance vessel supervisor, managing a multidiscipline workforce engaged in offshore platform fieldwide construction and maintenance activities across 100+ wellheads in the Mobil Producing Nigeria offshore field.
Adeyinka held senior project management and execution roles across various strata of projects in ExxonMobil. He was Project Manager for offshore retrofit projects (Riser repairs,Pigging facilities upgrades, Gas-lift and Field redevelopment projects in Mobil Producing Nigeria. These projects were executed flawlessly and it provides opportunity to mentor project practitioners in the planning and execution of upstream production projects.
Adeyinka also worked in ExxonMobil Production Company in Houston & In-land Louisiana area as Project Manager for the restoration of three offshore production platforms damaged by hurricane activities. Upon his return to Nigeria, he continued to support Mobil Producing Nigeria as a Project Management and construction Manager with responsibilities for strategic planning and development of effective installation processes and toolkits, where he developed and managed a center of excellence for functional support and career guidance to project, construction and installation practitioners in Nigeria.
Adeyinka has attended leadership, and technical courses both locally and overseas among which are Project Management Leadership – University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, USA; General Leadership – Thunderbird School of Global Management, Belgium; Enterprise Leadership – University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School, USA.
Adeyinka is a 1992 graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Registered Professional Engineer in Nigeria
